Pauline has a background in working with children and families across a range of settings. She worked in residential childcare in Aberdeen and as an Assistant Unit Manager in a secure unit in Edinburgh, before becoming a social worker specialising in learning disabilities in Musselburgh and East Lothian.
After a break to raise her family she undertook further education in child development and education, including a Waldorf teacher training, and has continued to develop her practice through advanced training across a range of neurodevelopmental approaches.
INPP Licentiate and National Principal
INPP Licentiate status is awarded following a rigorous programme of training, supervised clinical practice and ongoing professional development. Pauline has been working as an INPP Licentiate for over 12 years. She is the National Principal for INPP in the UK, responsible for the training, supervision and management of INPP Licentiates across the country.
Tomatis® Level 4 Consultant
Pauline undertook Tomatis® training through all levels to Level 4 Consultant, led by the needs of specific clients requiring more intensive auditory support. At Level 4 she can offer highly individualised programmes including use of the mother’s voice and sonic journey for clients with trauma histories.
NeurOptimal® Certified Trainer
Pauline trained in NeurOptimal® dynamic neurofeedback, which trains the brain to self-regulate without requiring a diagnosis or any conscious effort from the client.
Johansen IAS Provider
Pauline added Johansen IAS to her practice for clients who needed to focus on language issues or who were unable to undertake reflex integration exercises. The Johansen programme is now available via an app.
RGM Master Practitioner
Pauline has completed training in the Ronnie Gardiner Method to Master Practitioner level, a rhythm and music-based approach using multisensory stimulation to support neurological rehabilitation and cognitive function.
